Imagine Downtown is the visionary plan to guide future public and private investment in the heart of Atlanta. Formulated during a year long planning process that engaged the center city community in visioning exercises to define and give image to the future physical growth of Downtown Atlanta the plan is a blueprint for redevelopment of Downtown.

Central Atlanta Progress and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District would like to recognize the elected, appointed, advisory, professionals and citizen planners who made the Imagine Downtown plan possible. In particular, we thank our partner the City of Atlanta including Mayor Shirley Franklin, the entire Atlanta City Council and a whole host of staff members.

In addition, a special thank you is extended to the consultant team that facilitated and guided the entire process. The planning and design work was lead by Urban Collage, Inc. and included Cooper Carry performing urban design work; market research completed by ZHA, Inc. (retail/commercial) and Zimmerman/Volk and Associates (housing); URS Corp., in collaboration with Hall Planning and Engineering, completed associated transportation studies; and PEQ, Inc. led community engagement. Verge Studios produced web materials and Biscuit Studios the accompanying video.
